Motorcycle Mechanics Institute (MMI)

Engine operation, trouble shooting and diagnostics, maximizing power & performance as well as the knowledge about fuel and electrical systems is an example of some of the areas you will learn in the MMI. To be specific, their course is 48 weeks in length with 12 weeks specializing in Harley-Davidson repair training. This motorcycle repair school also offering their prospective students the opportunity to earn Harley PHD’s. This can be realized with MMI’s Harley Davidson® Endorsed Training Program through the Late Model Elective.

Ashworth College

Ashworth College offers a motorcycle repair diploma which can be achieved in less than six months. Although Ashworth College is not regionally accredited, it is nationally accredited by the Accrediting Commission of the Distance Education and Training Council (DETC). The DETC is recognized as an accrediting agency by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation and the United States Department of Education. Two and four stroke engines, transmissions, drive train, carburetors, brakes, clutch, steering, suspension, frame, cooling system, electrical system, as well as repairing/replacing headlights, signal lights, spark plugs, points and tires and routine maintenance are types of lesson you will learn in Ashworth College.
