Broset
Australian Woodworker Oct Nov 92 - User reportBROSET ™ Quick set measuring stopThis Chunky little gadget, will appeal to anyone who needs to accurately cut single or multiple lengths of wood, aluminium or just about any other building material. The Broset ™ quick set measuring stop is a very robust, solid aluminium-measuring stop, which mounts on the back fence of mitre, radial arm, and cut-off saws, or on the front fence of sliding table saws. The stop can be used on either the right or left of the saw blade. Based on a spring-loaded clamp, the stop fits fences from 40 to 52mm wide, (packing pieces may be used to modify the stop to suit narrower fences), and is designed to slide over a measuring tape or scale. A largish, knurled plastic adjusting knob, and strong construction allow high clamping pressure to be exerted on the saws fence, make it difficult to jar the Broset ™ loose, and inadvertently alter the setting. Contact stops are durable solid steel, with lockable fine adjustments for production type accuracy. For those of us whose eyesight isn’t as good as it used to be, the stop has two injection moulded magnifier lenses, with hairline pointers for quick references, and easy, accurate setting.
